Single can kits - over-hopped?

Post by CrownCap » Mon Jun 25, 2007 5:07 pm

Silly question maybe, but one that only occurred to me yesterday. Are single can kits 'over-hopped' (so to speak) in order to make up for the addition of extra malt/sugar when making up to the full 5 gallons? Would seem to make sense to me but I wonder if that is the case. Anyone in the know?

Cheers Daab. Just checking really as the instructions in my latest kit said to try hopped DME with 'heavier' beers. That just got me thinking about what was in the single can. I made 40 by the way :)
