First brew day in ages on Saturday. I'd like to brew the following recipe, but have run out of torrified wheat:[/size]

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can substitute for it? I see that Goulders substituted 100g of rolled oats for his 81g or torrified wheat in his Gales Festival Mild brew.

Re: Odp: Run out of Torrified Wheat
Wheat malt, flaked barley, wheat, oats. I use what I have at hand, usually some kind of flakes.

+1, but of course my vote is for oats (flaked, instant, rolled, steel-cut, pinhead, whatever you've got...)

Yes. I'd just use same weight of flaked oats.mshergold wrote:Thanks guys. Is it safe to assume swap gram for gram?
