Big recipe list?/ben truman
Big recipe list?/ben truman
Following seymour's thread on beers you miss I searched for Ben Truman, couldn't find it. I remember there being a very long list of beers with ingredients somewhere hereabouts, anyone know a link. I know I had it on my pc once but who knows where these things go eh? Oh and if you know Ben Trumans recipe..ta.

Did you read this entry on the "Favorite beer you can no longer find anywhere?"thread?

Here are two stories from 2010 about the guys who revived a Truman's recipe which they call Truman's Runner. Can any of you guys verify if it's similar to the original?

Yeah! Superb info, its joined the list. Dunno about invert sugar and caramel though, it'll have to be unrefined sugar and darker crystal to get the colour. Mild malt? I guess that it will have to wait until I can afford another malt/hops order. Planning a Rye beer too, I'm beginning to stretch my knowledge a bit more now thanks to the good folks at JBK. I REALLY fancy a Ben Truman. The more I think about it the greater the need. My memory of it was at The Castle Pub, Midanbury, Southampton....soon to be a Tesco Express
....having those hedgehog 'flavoured' crisps that were fashionable back then and a pint of Ben.
