Water Quality - Keighley?

(That's water to the rest of us!) Beer is about 95% water, so if you want to discuss water treatment, filtering etc this is the place to do it!

Water Quality - Keighley?

Relocating later this year and am looking to buy and renovate a house on the outskirts of Keighley. I know Tim Taylor's is brewed there - but does anyone know the hardness and other possible quirks of the water supplied to the Keighley area?

Probably the best starting point is to get a water report from that water authority. I think TT uses well/spring water, so it probably won't be the same.

True, but last time I tried the water reports section of the water authority was down. Also useful to hear from the experience of others - figures don't tell you everything!

A Murphy & Son analysis and a salifert kit for keeping an eye on any change in alkalinity would be a useful addition to your house moving budget, I'm sure you can find a way to "lose" that in the overall costs :D .

Funny you should say that. Later on yesterday I tried to get a report from my local authority and it too was down, (only the actual report page). I just tried again on reading your post and all was OK.
