Sankey Keg Couplers "s" & "d" types

Post by barneey » Wed Jul 10, 2013 5:24 pm

I know that the "S" and "D" type Sankey Keg Couplers are near enough the same apart from the probe on the "D" type is 6mm shorter than the "S" type.

A quicky question has anyone ever tried a "S" type on a D keg spear OR more importantly a "D" type coupler on a S keg spear :?: to see iif it works.

Never seen the 'D' type sankey in the UK. Thought it was the American?

Yep the D type are extensively used in the US, for that very reason they seem to be ahead on the coupler front, namely the very low profile perlick D type coupler :), I wanted to try one with a "s" coupler but being 6mm shorter I cant see it engaging properly.
