I use these (or similar) for my log burners, so they're good for the heat we'd need to use them for. They're made from the same material as used in Formula One flame proof overalls, so designed to protect you in extreme heat.
One word of warning, they are essentially Nomex strands woven together, so as per the previous post, if they get wet, then they will conduct heat.
So great for dry usage, not so great if they get wet.
Fermenting - Nothing
Conditioning - Nothing
Drinking - Tea
Planning - Everything, if only I had the time ... !!
