What's ya favourite Randy Mosher recipe?
I've made his Summer Ale, What-If version, my go-to recipe for blonds. Very well balanced.

The India Red Ale is the only one I've done, but it will be hard to beat.

I've done a few - the India Red I agree was lovely. Recently tried the Belgian wit with orange zest, coriander and camomile - really nice, and popular with folk who have never tried beers like that before. I used a Whitelabs yeast to get the authentic flavour.

You are right, the India Red Ale is a cracking brew, I also like the Three Nipple Tripel. The one that I have had on my "wish list" the longest is the one on page 136 "a portlike beer" I don't believe that Vierka makes the sherry yeast anymore and thus far I haven't ordered one from WYeast.

The only one I've tried so far is the Bambi's Best Blonde ale, not as pale as I anticipated probably due to the Munich Malt. Next up is the Hinky Dink Cream Ale, I've scaled it up for 23l as all of Randy's recipes seem to be for 19l. I am also planning to do the Pilsener and the Munich Dunkel.

19 litres is 5 US gallons, the standard brew length over there. Though many of them seem to have much bigger set ups...

Interesting, I have his book and have used many of his ideas but never brewed one of his recipes. I suppose that is because I'm usually planning to use at least a portion of almost every batch I make for a contest and most of his stuff is out of style. I also heard him speak at a contest and learned a ton especially about the use of adjuncts, especially different sugars. Oh and yes you are exactly correct, most homebrewers over here brew 5 gallon batches. I actuall have the capacity to brew 10 gallon batches if I want to but I am more interested in having diverse beer styles than brewing a whole lot of one beer.
Drinking:Saison (in bottles), Belgian Dubbel (in bottles), Oud Bruin (in bottles), Olde Ale (in bottles),
Abbey Triple (in bottles), Munich Helles, Best Bitter (TT Landlord clone), English IPA
Conditioning: Traditional bock bier, CAP
Fermenting: Munich Dunkel
Next up: Bitter (London Pride like), ESB
So many beers to make, so little time (and cold storage space)

Re: What's ya favourite Randy Mosher recipe?
The reason I mentioned upscaling the recipe was that I did not realise that the given recipe was for only 19l until after I had made it. A schoolboy error that I would not wish to repeat. On the other hand the results have been good, the only thing is, how much better would it have been if I had used the correct quantities?
