CO2 Regulators

Post by jock128 » Wed Jun 11, 2014 9:50 am

So, I'm about to start my journey down the Corny Keg rabbit hole for the first time. I've done my research and I'm happy on how to set them up and use them (famous last words), but I'm just looking into Regulators.

Is there any reason why I can't use a CO2 reg that's advertised as a welding grade one? Surely they are basically the same thing? Just in case, I've included a pic below of the sort of thing I'm looking at:

Thanks for advice in advance.

CO2 Regulators

They are not the same but can be fine.

They don't have pressure relief, but if your kegs do it's ok. THIS IS IMPORTANT.

Some have flow gauges on the secondary side, but can be changed if they haven't been glued in. I had one which wouldn't come out.

I've had 3 types and these are my preference.

I had 2 of the 'grey' type and they both leaked after a year of use.

Thanks!

No probs. I bought mine from that link but you may find them a little cheaper. They are quality regs though.
