Corny Keg to big

Post by bert7cosby » Sun Dec 13, 2015 9:44 am

Looking for a bit of advice, I have 2 corny kegs that I brought a while ago from ebay that fit very nicely into my kegerator. I have purchased 2 more so that I can keep a good supply of beer going and unfortunately they are too tall for my fridge. I wasn't aware that there was any difference in sizes, the 2 that don't fit were purchased from thehomebrewcompany.
Is there a specific type that will fit ?
Thanks

Are your shorter cornys marked "AEB"?

I have 2 shorter cornys and both of them are made by AEB in Italy.

To be honest they seem to be better quality than the others, although all work as well as each other.

They are marked up as Spartengerg. I think they may be converted from pin lock

I don't really know what you have but I'm guessing. You got two cornies, which I think are the Firestone type which are shorter than the normal cornies. Which the taller type are the two you got from the homebrew company.

The shorter cornies should have the posts at 10 and 2 o clock the normal have the posts at 12 and 6 o clock. Also the shorter are a little wider.
I will see if I can find a link so you can see what I'm saying.

Also If your not far from me, I have two Firestone that I don't really use, I could do a swap if yours are in simular condition. But I'm not up for posting.

Thanks wonkydonkey, I see that you are in Brighton which is way way to far unfortunately. I may have to try and sell mine and buy some more of the smaller ones.
Thanks for the advice
