I am pretty sure stopping that happening was top of their design priorities this time round but I guess we will see

It will be interesting to see if it's any good because the touch screen model I have is really not that great. I've had buggy errors with mine and terrible wifi problems. I've mostly abandoned trying to upload recipes to it as it was causing hours of frustration. I've previously had to send my control box back to Speidel for repairs which did improve things but it's still not great. I did really expect better...

The uploader has changed it, possibly the supplier getting in trouble. You don’t get to see it that closely in the video but at least we know it’s in the way now.

You can't buy this new panel as a spare part on their webshop. I wonder if it is intended to be able to be fitted to machines with the old colour screen? I'm very unhappy with my control panel. More specifically I'm very unhappy with the wifi and myspeidel stuff which I wasted hours on trying to make work properly and the crashes, freezes and malfunctions that this caused. I've now unplugged my wifi unit for good and get satisfactory perfromance from the control panel but a new version where the wireless features actually worked would be very nice..

I think that they have not actually released it yet.
I did once have issues with my wifi unit and found that you really have to have that connection into the control panel true and tight, since then I have not had any issues and don’t unplug it for cleaning the BM.

I see the Plus is the new standard model. Looks very nice. I'm not sure if I'd bother replacing my pre-2015 controller for one of the new ones, unless they were giving them away to loyal customers

Do 5" touchscreens improve the beer? Seems to be a lot of confusion these days.

Braumeisters don’t improve beer over a tin pot, but can make the process more enjoyable.

Just like touch screens.

Actually they do. Improve beer over a tin pot, that is. The apparent 'simplicity' was accidentally engineered on purpose to facilitate automated wort making with an industrial level of consistency. Unlike Nordic knobheads plagiarising all they can to weld and Chinese-together the world's most expensive poorly designed 'Frankenstein' ever
