Traditional English Ale

This weekend I am having a go at a recipe from Norms Recipes. Being that my favorite beers are my local Hogs Back ones, I decided to do a mini TEA recipe as follows:

Vol 8 Litres
OG1.044
Pale Malt 1,500g
Crystal 120g
Fuggles (90) 12g [Based on a 4.5 Alph & 27% util)
Goldings (90) 11g [Based on a 5.3 Alph & 27% util)
Goldings (10) 3g

I am assuming 40 IBU's to be about right, and will tailor the above hop weights to make whatever alpha % mine are (I think my Goldings is SIX point something and my Fuggles 4.8 ) so .. slightly more Fuggles and slightly Less Goldings in my case.

Does this look about right?
Is 40 IBU's realistic for this beer/ anyone with a more tutored tongue drink this beer alot too?

It's been a while since I had it but I would be surprised it it was 40IBU. For comparison Summer Lightning is 40IBU - admittedly that has a lot less body so the perception of bitterness would be greater.
