Beer at Home

Post by popric » Thu Dec 06, 2007 9:28 am

Now theres a saying that will conjure up long lost memories of the past - because Beer at Home means Davenports. I was brought up on their wonderful brews and spent a lot of my so called miss spent youth in their pubs. The Fox Inn at Bransford being one of them. Sadly the brewery was taken over by the ubiquitous Greenhall Whitley who immediately shut down Davenports and sacked all it's staff. However one particular beer has survived in my memory a very strong Ale called 'Top Brew De-Lux',

My question is has anyone got a recipe for it or even heard of it - any help would be gratefully bottled at a later date.

5 gallons - AOB Lager in Bottles
5 Gallons John Bull Bitter in the barrel.
2 gallons experimental extra strong Lager brewing

Richard. :D
