Geordie mix up ?

Well i just moved my Geordie Scottish export to my keg and it was errm ,, a little, well a lot lighter in colour more like a lager, i have done a few of these kits now and they have a deeper slightly reddish tint of them like this

Now this one i just done lookes like this

I know its just been put in the keg tonight but i dont expect it to do a colour change on me .

Swaped lables anyone ?

Not impossible, it certainly looks lagery. I worked in a cannery for many years, and incorrect contents is one of the more common complaints received.

It usually occurs when changing from one product to another. The labelling is often a long way down the production line, and can be hours, from the actual canning and processing - the changeover has to be followed through the system to the labellers, where the operator will change labels as necessary. If there aren't tight controls over the changeover, mislabelling of loose cans can occur (no pun intended!).

Complain! :wink:

The same thing happened to me many years ago, only the other way round. Mrs H bought a lager kit which turned out to be a bitter! :-({|=

She was not amused. :cry:

Just tasted some and it a lager alright,, right then outside it goes for 6 weeks and we will see what it comes back like .

Whats the chances of the old complaint rant =free stuff senario :D

Worth a try IMHO, not enough people in this country complain and we all get shafted for it!

I remember my "local" home-brew shop explaining to me about how the colour can change with the popular kits.

Then again, Geordie lager isn't that bad! :D
