Post by NzDan1 » Thu Aug 16, 2007 1:42 pm

Hi Guys!

You probably dont know me!
Names Dan Boyce, Southland, New Zealand
I should spend more time on this forum but Ive gotta support the local forum!
I cant wait to get the time to go through all the posts here!
This has got to one of the top brewing forums around the world.

My lauter tun was derived from memory from an adaption of on of Daab's which im most thankful for!

It may be a hard question considering differing styles but whats your best recipe ever?

obliv, here you go, not exactly the same but near enough, I think this was from norman from his Almanac

Black Sheep Special Ale

20 litre 73% efficiency
OG 1.047 FG 1.014
EBU 35 SRM 14
ABV 4.5%

Maris Otter 3.3kg
Rice / Oat Hulls 200g
Crystal Malt 400g
Torrified Wheat 450g
Roasted Barley 7g

Mash Temp 67°C
Mash Time 90 mins

Progress 25g 60 mins
Goldings 15g 15 mins
Fuggles 7.5g 10 mins
Challenger 7.5g 10 mins
Goldings 15g 1 mins

Boil 90 mins

London ESB Ale Yeast: Wy1968

best recipe, imo, well Styrian Stunner's been a firm favourite in our house for a while now, so something with just extra pale malt and Styrians, goes down a treat after a day at work

You can't go far wrong with Jamil's recipes.

The one's I've tried have all been really good. His Dark Mild is especially good.
