Had a bottle of this last night, it was very nice. Might have to make some now then
Re: elvis juice
Where the recipe says dry hop 14 days does this mean dry hop after the beer has been in the fermenter for 14 days?
If so how long do you dry hop for?

I'm not sure as I have not brewed it myself as yetchefgage wrote:Where the recipe says dry hop 14 days does this mean dry hop after the beer has been in the fermenter for 14 days?

Re: elvis juice
I'd dry hop when fermentation has finished. Leave them in for a few days.

I would dry hop after 14 days for 10 days.

Have you brewed this before? (I haven`t).
10 days seems a long time for a dry hop? Why don`t you split the hops and do half the hops for 5 days, squeeze them in the brew then discard.
Put in the other half of the hops for the remaining 5 days? Squeeze them out a day before bottling.
But that`s just me I suppose!

Re: elvis juice
WA I've not brewed this one but I have had a bottle.
I've always dry hopped the Punk for 7 days but last Brewdog clone I did was based on Hardcore IPA and I left the hops in for 10 days. No problems at all and was the best hoppy IPA I have done yet.
I dry hop loose too and then syphon through a voile bag. Maximum contact! , good name for a band!!

Re: elvis juice
I need to try this beer. A mate of mine loves it. This recipe is from the boys at Brewdog themselves. Here's the link:

Let us know how you get on!
FWIW: I dry hop at 23.5c for 4 days. Always get great results.

Re: elvis juice
Had a few cans of this last night - beautiful stuff. Wonderful orangey flavour and without the stupid levels of hopping found in other brewdog stuff! On the to do list ... anyone tried yet?

Yea I've tried it. Quite tropical and not as bitter as Punk. I like it. Makes a nice change to Punk.
Re: elvis juice
Hi Alex did you make it to the brewdog diy dog recipe?

Hi Jambo, I've not made this one. I've had a few bottles of it though.
Just been looking at the recipe in DIY Dog and the hop bill looks good.
If you fancy upping your game have a taste of Brewdogs Mr.President. They sell it in Tesco. Hell of a double IPA.

Hi Alex
Ah I see. Just looked again myself - so the twist with the unspecified quantity of grapefruit and orange peel is where it's at I suppose - they're purposefully vague on that I suspect...!
Anyone any thoughts? One grapefruit, one orange and take it from there?
The brewery is just ten minutes up the road from here, I need to book on to a tour!
