1st ever brew, standard bitter from David Line BBB Pg 34

I added the sugar last night and i have just drawn some more off and its 1.002 now. It is showing some fizz and takes and smells good. I'll leave it in the barrel for a week and report back later.

Would certainly check that hydrometer.

A few years ago I messed up a TTL clone as was called out to an important job and had to leave mash to it's own devices. The temp dropped a lot in the thermos mash tun, lagging on lid came off, and i ended up with a highly fermentable wort. The FG went to 1.006 and it seriously lacked body, mouthfeel and taste, not a success! :cry:

gENTLEMEN iTS NOW LATE. OOpps caps lock still on. I have been sampling this first brew and its a winner the head is good the taste is ggod and I would like to say a vey (woops "very") big thank you to all. I AM HOOKED. This is so easy to do. It could be a bit clearer (the beer that is , not me) but time and practice will only help. Good night.

Just to let you know Brew No3 will be a stout. I have asked John at H&G to sort me out a recipie for wed to brew on Thursday. I will start a new thread and take lots of lovely pictures. See you thursday.

An all grain brewer with one hell of an all grain hangover, but worth every penny, cheers guys
