J_P the boilers are missing working elements, I emailed last week but got no reply (at least nothing has made it as far as my inbox... but that seems to have been happening a bit lately!). If you could get an update next time you are passing
As for Uist - nope, that be Shetland... and I no longer inhabit the more southerly of the northern isles anyway being relegated to just outside Stirling at present, well - actually I am currently sitting in a small village called Storth in Cumbria but that is besides the point

I am, however, more than a wee bit familiar with Simmer Dim which I have tested thoroughly over the years! I do like these Scottish microbreweries, they really are doing sterling work in proving that Scottish beer is, infact, rather good - and not in the slightest shit... unless Tennents Lager is being considered - but I would suggest that Carling is no better
Try White Wife though if you get a chance - now that is a fine brew from Shetland. If you want to go Orcadian, and who wouldn't, then I would suggest a sampling of Raven Ale and Northern Light from Orkney Brewery... or if you really get adventurous - and if you can find it - Scapa Special and Munro from the Highland Brewing Co, also on Orkney!
