first 40 litre brewday

mash tun warming up little un having some brekkie

treated mash water warming up to 80oc

nearly 100grams of bittering hops and epsom and common salt additions

ten minutes additions and 2 protofloc

first runnings

first 20litres of wort another 32litres to collect !

all collected and in the boiler coming to the boil which was very quick indeed!

boiled the wort for over 1 hour collected some in a glass jar cooled in the fridge with foil on the top emptied the liquid ontop of the yeast in chris reboots yeast. then emptied the yeast into the cooled wort i aint got a clue if what i done is right but this is the result does it look right?

he loves stirring in the grain and he loves "feeding the beer" with hops as he calls it lol

good stuff - one protofloc will do for 40 litres though - save the pennies...

Looks good. Think I might go towards 40l on my next brew.
