hi all, just done a wine kit red and did not have any spare fv to transfer off yeast to add finnings ect so popped into a pressure barrel . so then thought o would later on transfer to bottling bucket next week when it is free .
but could i keep it in the barrel instead of bottling or would it just go off too quick??
:( cheers glyn

Blimey Glyn it never rains eh?

I would have thought the headspace would oxidise the wine quick smart, I wouldn't chance it mate.
I've read that wine is best stored in the demi but what to do when its drawn off for drinking I dont know, oxidisation must happen straight away, 30 bottle kits aint cheap mate (I presume 30 bottle) so dont risk it.

The other problem is that wine, red in particular can taint plastic.
