Protafloc: groovy so long as you know the dose rate - 1 tab per hectolitre - more than that and you'll get fluffy bottoms.
ive never used aux finings, because i always assumed it would be possible without them
Isinglass fixes yeast; aux does proteins - different electrical charges. You need a fining regime that fixes your problem.

And yes, 4C will have an effect.

Thats 1-4g per hectolitre (a Tab is about 1.9g so 1-2 tabs per hectolitre),

I did make a mistake a few batches back and used the upper end of the range in a 50L brew (4g in 50L), massive amounts of break, and as David Says loose and fluffy, but recircing through the hop bed sorted that out more or less.
