Have a look at the website of another JHBF member - Phil aka Seveneer for HERMS explaination (and pics of a lovely setup).

Just looked at that website. That's the stuff my dreams are made of. It kind of makes my plastic bucket and spoon look sadly inadequate.......

Some great info there though, I shall be reading carefully when SWMBO has gone to bed. Muhahahahahahaha!!!! :D

Ah, was your PM offering brewday lifting services posted under the affluence of incohol ?
Well, the discussion with Steve took place beforehand but there may have been a couple of pints consumed prior to the PM

I've just finished one of your bottles - very nice. Condition was fine, and the Porter character comes through beautifully. (I said it was porter just from the nose, and spottted the brown malt a mile off, remember? True to type. :) ). Even just tasting those beers yesterday, I had a bit of a buzz on when I turned up at Danny and Di's shop afterwards :) Getting the train next time is a deffo! I'd never get back though.

Looks like you had a top day there Dan. I like your style Vossy, get Mrs V1 to do the brewing and Dan to take your pictures thus freeing up both your hands for drinking 8) you're a man with a plan

Nice one guys, sorry to have missed that

So Dan, you're in Cheadle eh. Now this makes me wonder if there is enough interest in a brewing group around the Stockport area :-k although I probably should not be suggesting that as I am shortly going to have my hands well and truly full  What the hell! - I'm in SK23.

Vossy is close by and ChoppersWookie is not terribly far. If I recall correctly, Orfy is somewhere nearby too. Slurp is a bit further away towards Sheffield.

Anyone else in the Stockport-ish vicinity??

Northern area Craftbrewers are from all over, mostly above Manchester AFAIK, but then I haven't been contacted by them recently :( Couldn't have been something I Said

I think its a good idea. im limited as to the input i can provide (6day week shop keeper) but ive always got a sunday to donate. better not tell SWMBO

if nothing else we could form a buying group, trying to use 5Kg of hops on your own, isnt easy ! :) bulk buying can also allow new micro brew products

Not a bad idea that :)
Although I don't get through anywhere near as much stuff as some who have really got the bug  I still have a freezer shelf full of Goldings and Fuggles.
