OK, just finished getting ready for tomorrows brew:-

Yeast from brewery collected and in fridge
Grist measured out and Brupaks DLS additions mixed in
Brupaks CRS additions for mash and sparge liqour calculated

Brewing another Summer Lightning clone :D

Mash started at 09:00 B)

pH certainly lowered by addition of CRS, perhaps too low though - measured 5.0 :rolleyes:

Boil started ar 11:20 so now past the boilover danger zone!

Sparge went well (after I'd unstuck the mash! :rolleyes: ), collected 27 ish litres of wort.

Nice smells wafting around the garage now B)

Any pics andy? Man, it feels like an age since I last brew. :(

On the bright side, I picked up some supplies today for a brew next bank holiday, and a drum tap for one of my fermenters to solve the "leaving the house by the upstairs bedroom window" problem ( ;) ) and I also picked up Dave Line's "Brewing Beers Like Those You Buy"...what a fantastic book! :D

just had a check and there's a nice thick yeast head on it now...
