The Official Turbo Cider Juice Thread.
The Official Turbo Cider Juice Thread.
ok heres what i want to do, since this "other brews" section is 99% based on turbo ciders at the moment and now people are starting to look at different juices and wonder what the differences are, i plan for this thread to be a log, if you will, so anyone having used a juice can write it up in here, where its from, how much it is per liter, what the sugar content is per 100ml, that sort of thing.

So what's the deal with adding / not adding sugar? Adding sugar obviously makes it stronger and presumably drier, and I notice that throughout the course of your TCs you've stopped adding it. Is that to stop you going blind or because it tastes better without?

drinking: ~ | conditioning: ~ | primary: ~ | Looks like I need to get brewing then...
Visit London Amateur Brewers online
200g of sugar will up the % vol by about two points in a gallon brew, but will leave you with a "thinner" tasting cider.spearmint-wino wrote:So what's the deal with adding / not adding sugar? I've dropped the alcohol content in favour of a more pleasant drinking experience.
Obviously if you just want rocket fuel, up the sugar and damn the taste.

Hi all,Princes Apple Juice - 104g/litre (~50p per litre from Costco)
I just spotted this in Morrisons at 95p per litre, buy one get one free, until 30th December.
Not tried it yet, and it will have to wait anyway, as I've only just bought 24 litres of Sainsbury's at 50p per pack, thanks to another poster on the forum!
Gotta love these apple juice promotions!
