i started an australian pilsener kit with some saflager yeast last friday and the fermentation never really started. on the sunday i gave it a stir and fermentation started but went for about 18hours before stopping. i ordered some yeast-vit which has only just arrived, is it too late to add this now? should i bin the lot and start over? haven't taken an hydrometer reading yet as i didn't want to risk spoiling it any more than i've already done...
advice gratefully received.
on a slightly different topic, i'm quaffing the resultss of my first kit (Woodforde's Wherry) and I must say, it's very tasty!
cheers, in advance...
stuck fermentation...
