My last turbo slurry has bottomed out at approx 16%abv. It took two and 1/2 weeks but it's there.

4 Litres of pure pressed red (Sainsburys)
1 200ml can of condensed white grape juice white
750g demerera sugar
2 sachettes of champagne yeast.

This week end I will be drinking it

Champers yeast

Post by Doug » Tue Nov 27, 2007 2:03 pm

Using Champers yeast in my latest experiment has produced a much higher alcohol content than some of my other experiments, of which I am greatful.

My last slurry was only 12% and very, very dry. I could only drink 2 litres at a time of that stuff it was so dry. Hopefully I am looking to create a more grown up version of MD 20/20 or Thunderbird.

An aperatiff to help cleanse the pallett before I have a session on my Barley Wines.

Nope I am drunk! Please do not try this at home, I cannot condone the use of alcohol in this way what so ever.
