roasted barley

I've got around 50g left over from my SS oatmeal stout...

Does anyone have any tried and tested recipes that might utilise it? Not looking to do a stout or porter though :)...

i've got two ideas.

one, you could do a mild with it, as per dave line's morland mild which actually uses 100g but you could easily just use your 50g, some pale malt, and perhaps 50g of chocolate malt and 50g dark crystal. it's nice!

two, something like dave line's morrell's varsity bitter - i think that is about 3.5kg pale, 250g crystal, 50g roasted barley. some of his other recipes also use similarly small quantities of RB - iirc (i don't have the book with me at work) maybe donnington's bitter and arkell's BBB.

but certainly the mild and varisty bitter, both yum.

Or you could add it 10min from he end of mash to add some extra colour to the beer.
