Nice work and pictures Vossy. Planning my second brew at the moment. Might be a partial mash this time cause I like the sound of the recipe which came from the latest issue of BYO mag. It's called Round the World Tripel.

Nice work Vossy. All your hard work has paid off, and it looks like you didn't have too many mishaps.

Ian, go on, take the plunge into AG, we will all be behind you...it's not as scary as some HB books would lead you to believe. :rolleyes:

I use http://bluefive.pair.com/pixresizer.htm to shrink all of my images. Again a free piece of software. My favourite option is the batch processing meaning you can convert a folder of images in a couple of clicks. Certainly makes life much simpler!

OK I just need some SIMPLE recipies with the right quantites for a mini brew??

To me, that looks a great 1st time effort, much better than mine! When I came to sparge on my first ag I forgot to sort out tubing for sparging and ended up carefully pouring jugs of hot water over the grains!

It still turned out ok though,

but lesson learned, any changes that I have made to my system since then, I have always done a "dry run" to make sure it was ok.

Cheers BB, I skimmed after the photie and again tonight.

It, the beer, smells wonderfull. A much stronger aroma than beers to date from kits.

I did a refractometer reading tonight and it's 7 brix...which is roughly 1028 I believe..it's fermenting well B)
