Can anyone tell me if the H&G 10mm Beer line brush works well with a cornie pickup tube?

Cheers

Hi DaaB

I have been using oxyclean (baby) to clean my cornies but I'm a little suspicious I'm getting a small amount of residue from it. I am about to order from H&G and Antiformin was on the list, but I was thinking about using one of these to make sure I have no oxyclean residue. Do you reckon the Antiformin would shift it on its own?

Cheers

Hello Tribs one option is to use beer-line cleaner if you can get it i have used both Antiformin's & beer-line cleaner they have virtually the same make-up. I use beer-line cleaner for everything i used Antiformins for it rinses fairly easy just keep the contact time low with stainless same as you would with Antiformin's anyway. You should be abble to get about 5 litres for what Hop & Grape charges for 1 litre of Antiformin's

Yes, it fits, but I've never seen any visible muck on the brush, so it may not be neccessary

I've managed to source some BLC that is in a powder form that you add to water. The instructions are all in Italian. It looks like it turns green when in contact with contaminants and changes to purple when the contaminants are removed.

I've found this which includes instructions. Interesting stuff. Anyone used this before?
