
I want to play around with the recipe I've been trying to develop for Harveys sussex best, without having to produce 40 pints each time. I'm pretty confident with the equipment Daab suggests as the lauter tun is what I use for a mash tun, only much bigger.
My main question is:
Do I need to do the mashing in the oven? Is there any reason why I couldn't mash in the lauter-tun if it was insulated well (as I do at the present time with my much large mt)?
