Purge or not to purge - that is the question...

Evenin all.

Just a quickie here:

I’ve never bothered purging my keg (ooer misus!) in the past and had never really heard of the practice until I joined this jolly community of liver batterers :D

So, do I

a) Do nowt to the keg after I've moved it downstairs to the garage tomorrow night on the basis that I've never had any problems in the past or,

b) Purge it as I've seen mentioned on here a few times.

If b, what's the best way to do this and what exactly am I trying to achieve???

Cheers folks

B
