Bottling carbonated beer?

When I kegged the Wherry I made as my first brew, as I put it in a Cornie I had to bottle a few. Now the ones in the bottle have cleared and taste pretty good but the stuff in the cornie is still cloudy and has a real tangy taste so I am wondering if I should dump it out or should I try bottling it in some 2 litre PET bottles and just leaving it for several months to see what happens. I would like to use the cornie for another brew so one way or another I need to move it.

If I do want to move it to bottles how do I go about it as it is already carbonated.

Remember due to the dip tube in the corni being right at the bottom, the first pint or so you pull from a corni could be cloudy.

I do this all the time as I let my brews mature in a barrel for about a month before bottling into 500ml bottles, and they are carbonated by then. All I do is sterilise a cup add some boiling water and a table spoon of sugar and stir into the barrel. Then fill the bottles from the barrel via the barrel tap and a long tube. I did try not adding sugar but because the beer had already primed once it took a long time to reprime.

How do you keep it from foaming up in the bottle?

Yeah the cloudyness should have gone by the 5th pint.
You can bottle straight from the corni, Daab does so (check here) and he mentioned about coping with foaming.

Another option maybe to drop some IG into the corni if you'd prefer not to bottle it, it should sort out your cloudiness problem.

Well I already used finings when I kegged it. I am of the opinion that it wont get any better but hate to throw away beer.

sorry missed the cornie part of the post. My system only work on the King Keg style of barrels.

I could just close my eyes but its not the cloudyness thats the real problem, its the taste. The clear stuff in the bottles was drinkable but the stuff in the keg is Tangy.

Actually that makes sense, maybe I will leave it a bit longer but after 5 weeks I am either dumping it or drinking it depending how it tastes.

I've had beers that go through different flavours as they mature. I'd be patient - give it time and it will probably turn out ok.
