Brewers Choice and LME

Post by eddnix » Wed Jan 30, 2008 7:27 pm

Hi all,

I'm gonna stick a Brewer's Choice IPA with LME on tonight, the question of the evening is:

Would anybody advise boiling the LME or shall I just throw it in the fv a la one can kits?

Also, I've just noticed that it advises to put the brew onto secondary for a couple of days, will it be ok to leave it longer on the cake instead?

Questions questions questions.....

Thanks for the swift reply Daab,

I have Brupaks premium grade pale malt extract.

Have to rush off again as I've left the missus bathing the nippers..

I didn't think the Brupaks LME needed boiling. (could be wrong)

I does not mention boiling it in the instructions I have here for the Old Ale. It just says to heat the can first in boiling water to make it pour easier.

Well, 'tis boiled.

It was nice to sup the fruits of previous labours while doing the deed
I'm planning to bottle this one and save it till the Summer, if we get one!
