I recently started brewing again after a long break . Anyway have kegged my second kit , Woodefordes Admirals Reserve, in a king keg top tap barrel. After 1 week in warm and 4 in cool I tried to get beer but when I turned the tap nothing happened , seems to be no pressure even though I primed with 80g of beer enhancer. Any suggestions

Just to cover all your bases, check that you have the S30 valve done up tight. I lost pressure in one of my KK's through leakage between the valve and the lid.

Use Vaseline on the O ring aswell, that'll help stop gas leaking out!

Best bet is to try the above, I recently purchased 3 KK's and two of them needed the s30 valves tightening up when I found I had the same problem as you.

About 6 months ago I bought a 2nd King Keg and noticed it was leaking gas from where the tap is connected to the barrel. I unscrewed the tap and noticed that where the actual hole in the barrel is, the edges were very rough and slightly chipped as opposed to being smooth - hence the small gas leak. Took back to my local home brew shop and they stated that they were part of a faulty batch and that they had had quite a few returned with exactly same fault.

I kegged a porter kit on saturday night in to a top tap KK, checked on it sunday morning to find i hadn't closed the tap fully and a ferocious second fermentation had forced virtually all the beer out resulting in one destroyed carpet.
On the bright side, i work in a carpet shop...

Thank you to everyone for thier hints and tips on this problem, particularly the hints involving vaseline. Im pretty sure I can now rescue the situation thanks to all your help . In the meantime I,ve just put a Muntons Midas Touch in the fermenter, any thoughts on this particular kit
