I have finally bottled my Munton's IPA. I'm not going to post everything here, but here is a direct link to the details of bottling day, complete with pictures, if anyone is interested:

Thanks to everyone who offered tips while I was working on my first brew. I hope I reap the rewards in a month or two...

A good idea, save some for summer maybe? Nice pics, BTW a bottling wand does help a hell of a lot, couldn't do without mine on bottling day.drbell wrote:That quickly? - I'd been looking at a month before even opening the first sample...
I'm also thinking of boxing up 10 in about a week, straight into the attic to ensure they get a good few months without the temptation to drink them...

Thanks for the info Daab - perhaps I wont leave it too long before breaking open the first one then.
Still surprised though, as a mate whose been brewing about a yeah now definitely finds his brews (including this IPA which I have tried both after a month and after 6 months) getz better and better for the first 6/7 months at least. Is this just a personal choice thing - and my uneducated pallet? Or the cold conditions he stores his beer in (in a garage)?
