Follow up to KK problem
After purchasing a Hambleton Bard S-30 cannister I finnaly discovered why my brand new KK top tap barrel was holding no pressure. The rubber sleeve which is supposed to cover the pressure release valve was missing. This was on a barrel right out of the box, are the barrels really the top quality they profess to be? Very annoying to discover this now as I have ruined 40 pints Woodefordes Admirals Reserve, which I had high hopes for and it has cost me for a replacement valve, and lots of frustration and time. Hopefully my next kit will not be so troublesome - but it is all a learning curve. Hope this post may help others with KK probs
I blew the inlet valve off mine whilst filling with gas.
Only gave it a quick squirt and then the gas came right back out when i took the gas can off. Blinking rubber think dropped off into my beer.
Had to leave the gas on and screwed down just to the point of the gas being released - this sealed the system up.
I have fitted a pressure gauge to mine now, I can see if the pressure is dropping if I spring a leak!
