Transporting beer in a keg

Post by MacDuck » Tue Feb 19, 2008 4:57 pm

Hello All

I am soon due to relocate to London from York :-(

(have spent 6 months in York and have loved it - northerners are pretty good people)

Anyway, I will need to return home with my brew and am getting concerned about all the sloshing about of the beer in my Keg - Will this not aerate my beer big time, resulting in it going stale rather quickley?

Any advice, other than drink it fast?

Cheers

I think purging with CO2 should do the trick if you have a suitable valve on your barrel

hehe - well, the problem is the beer has not yet even been brewed. I am planning an ESB clone based on you recipe, so can not start drinking it yet...

Am working on my current ESB clone attempt, and my IPA will be bottled and stored for 3 months + while I go to India.
