SiHoltye,

So in your opinion if I let cool from 92C to room temperature and then try tomorrow night with a new boiler then will things be OK?

I can't see any reason why that won't be ok. 8) Thats what i'd do.

Well I've put an ad in the wanted section for a boiler. My Electrim is very old and I doubt I could get the element tomorrow. If no replys I will probably buy a new boiler from the Stockport homebrew shop tomorrow.

It sounds like the cut out is operating in your element.
Have a look round the forum, there are several topics on how to remove them from the element....worth a try.

Cheers for pointing that out Vossy. I looked and found this on the forum. Will try and solve with the advise given.

I couldn't wait... So I poured the wort out into a separate bucket and took the element out for inspection. Couldn't find the cut out circuit. It seemed it was too sealed. But the element had a lot of crud on it. So I thought just maybe the crud is making it overheat and cut out? So I put the element in with a strong dose of Oxiclean and scrubbed with wire wool. Put my nice shiny clean element back in. Wow what a boil I am now getting!!! Lesson learned. Crud is not your friend :D Heres too a late one!
