Mild Recipe (First attempt)

Post by Hoppkins » Thu Mar 06, 2008 11:27 am

Hi all,

I found a mild recipe that i've adapted for both mini mashing and for what ingredients i've got. Can anyone tell me if it sounds feasable?

Mild Malt 4.35kg
Crystal Malt 500g
Chocolate malt 100g

Challenger 25g (60 mins)
Challenger 12g (2 mins)

Adapted for mini mash (5 litre)

Mild Malt 1kg
Crystal Malt 150g
Chocolate Malt 50g

Challenger 6g (60 mins)
Challenger 3g (2 mins)

Does this sound ok?

Maybe I'm missing something here but why haven't you just divided all the numbers by 5? I presume the original recipe is for 5 gallons?

Original was 23 litres.

Daabs formula was:

Original Amount DIVIDED BY 23 MULTIPLY BY 5
