Second AG brew - and second in a week too

This one is based on the Clone Brews recipe for Brains Trad. Welsh Ale. I'm going to refrain from naming it myself until I know the outcome of the Ireland vs Wales rugby later today (SWMBO is Welsh - not that I'm hoping they lose or anything

)

4.1kg Maris
305g Crystal

150g Cane
75g Glucose

Fuggles 55g 90min
EKG 19g 15min
Fuggles 19g 2min

Going to use S-04 on this one I think.

Water is just heating up as I type - have treated the (30L) water with 1/2 campden, 31ml CRS, ~6g Gypsum and 2.5g Epsom salts.

I'm not far behind you coatesg.
Just mashed in for my 1st all grain(proper) and am doing the Springhead bitter from MO's book.
Time to sit and watch some of the 1st game of rugby then get on with the sparge and boil,then sit and relax for the England game.

No not really

Ireland messed up against the Welsh,England...well less said the better,we didnt even look like scoring a try and our penalty count was far to high.As for brewing a beer,I ended up with 21ltrs of wort @ 1.051 in the fermenter,and about 10 ltrs off water from the IC all over the kitchen floor,I was preoccupied with watching the Ireland/Wales game and forgot that the brew was cooling( I was "trying" to save the used water in plastic FV's for tomorrows brew

) so all in all a good/bad day

I think you meant to say that Wales were the better team and deserved to beat Ireland. Never mind OB theres always next year for England

Hardly surprising that Englands sportsmen lost again though is it? I think the cricket team must have been taking notes on how to lose against all odds too.
