Clearing beer in the cornie.

Hi all,
I have a cornie of beer that just won't clear (damn Danstar Windsor).

Hoping that a bit of cold will help, I have had it out in the back yard for weeks and the bugger is still cloudy. I got some Alcotec 24 TurboKlar, but the instructions talk about swirling the beer to release co2, which isn't really an option because I have had this beer sitting at 14 PSI for a month now.

I have heard of people using gelatin from the supermarket to clear beer in situations like mine, but have been unable to find instructions.

Can anyone advise me?

Yes it's definitely yeast. I know issinglass would be better, but I can get gelatin today, where as I would have to order issinglass on tinternet.

OK, so a sachet of gelatin dissolved in a pint of heated beer and then return it to the cornie. How long would it take to settle to the bottom of the cornie, do you think?

I use strictly gelatin. It works fabulous. About a tablespoon in a pan of cold water. Heat it gently, and DO NOT BOIL until it becomes dissolved. I notice it clearing beer in 24 hours. In 2-3 days your beer should be clear.

I only ever use gelatin cos i cant be arsed with the faffing around that insinglass requires :D it always works for me . I did recently do a brew that i let settle in a corny indoors for a week then outside for another 3-4 and its the clearest brew ive ever made, the cold definitely made a difference in the final stages.

IME gelatine needs about 2-3 days to clear a brew.

I hardly call keeping it in the fridge, pouring a third of a half pint glass, adding cooled boiled water to top up the glass and then chucking it into a keg a 'faff'.
