It's 9 years since I last brewed AG, or anything for that matter. I am starting up again to prepare for my daughter's wedding garden party and I can't believe how things have progressed since 1999 !
Firstly, access to a forum such as this is fantastic. Every question that I have thought of has been answered.
I had all the equipment except a boiler. Yesterday I made and commisioned one thanks to info on this forum.
Today I could'nt find my old brewing belt so after looking on here set off on my bike and bought a submersible heater from an aquarium shop, now on test.
Also today I have found out about the use of Chloramine in water treatment and will now add Sodium metabisulphate to my brewing liquer.
Tomorrow is the big day and I am looking forward to starting up again thanks to this forum.
2x 5 gallon brews planned. A London pride type and a Harveys Sussex best.
P.S If anybody has a recipe for a Summer light :D ning or Crop Circle please let me know.

Have fun. Hopefully I'll be brewing tomorrow too. There's a summer lightning recipe from real ale almanac in the recipe section.

Hello and welcome back to the fold. Totally agree about the forum, I sometimes wonder exactly how many pints of beer this place is responsible for
