I made my ringwood bitter a couple of weeks ago but forgot to put the 5.2 in , I still came out with an OG of 1052 so I wasnt to worried. today I made exactly the same brew, in exactly the same way but rembered to put the 5.2 in and my OG is 1044 ! :shock: :?

same bag of grain , Ive never checked the PH after wards. maybe I boiled the first lot down a bit mroe concentrating it ? either way Ive still got some beer I spose :lol: my ability to cock up even the most straight forward things continues to amaze me :lol:

I didnt think so but I cant see any other reason for the difference , not sure how much difference a couple of litres could make, otherwise its a mystery :-k unless the grain at the bottom of the bag was differnt from the grain at the top .

thats probably it then , 1044 will still give me about 4% so thats okay , might even give my liver a bit of respite :lol:
