Down to 1.012 so far, after 4 days. From the sample and my limited experience I like this brew already, but it's missing that fullness that crystal adds.

Fell to 1.011 and kegged it tonight. I got 1 and a quarter kegs as couldn't be bothered to bottle any. This brew is clear and tasty, but the one question a I have of it is ....where are the hops! There's no bitterness particularly, certainly not what you'd expect. I'm brewing tomorrow with the other half of the hops vacu pack, so will add to this WGV to push the expected BU:GU to around 0.9 to compensate. Think I may have had a duff batch.

Yeah 23 is low isn't it. Perhaps 0.9 would be a knee-jerk. 0.7 tomorrow. OG1.044 and 30IBU's (hopefully).

I dry hopped this with 15g of Saaz yesterday. Tastes a bit lagery, but that's what Saaz is generally used for so no surprise. The added hop taste is very young though.

I now know intimately the aroma of unmellowed Saaz :lol: . It's not bad, good enough to mean I doubt the keg'll see maturity :roll:
