Posting so that I keep informed on this - Homewrecker is my "next up".

Have no answer for you but am curious - did you brew it "vanilla" (supplied yeast, no added fermentables) or did you customise it?

Have previously been told finings are reserved for AG brews?

no brewed it as it was, although it did stuggle to get to final gravity so i added dry beer enzyme, it tastes ok, just a little hazy at the moment, i do have a milestone crusader to brew after the london porter but this is gonna go in 2ltr pets for the summer.

i notice you have the choc stout conditioning, i feel this was a bit strange tasting, as did a lot of people on here

I don't know then - I'm sure DaaB will crop up shortly (he's a lifesaver).

Assume it tastes okay - just hazey?

I have a belgian ale the same colour as that with the same haziness to it. 6 weeks it's been in the barrel.

A-ha! Funny that you used Dry beer enzyme and its still cloudy. I did a Admirals reserve maybe 8 weeks ago that won't clear and used DBE to get the FG down. I wonder if this could have anything to do with it, as it's happened to both of us. Otherwise I don't know why mine won't clear, it's not chill haze. Saying that, i did have 1 the other day that was clear...wierd. Daab!! help us please. :D

If it tastes OK,as I expect it does after that period conditioning, then get a pewter tankard. It's annoying if a brew doesn't clear but it's not the end of the world.

I have just had a look at my Homewrecker - I had all the same problems as you did getting the gravity down, added some safeale and gave the sediment a lift and managed to get the gravity down to arount 1011 before kegging it. i have had this with other Milestone kits.

It is in the Cornie at the moment and I had a couple of cloudy pints last weekend which gave me heartburn all night !!

it has been in the keg for 4 weeks or so and to be honest I was going to stick some beerclear in this afternoon and then leave it again...

the Crusader kit I made also took 4-5 weeks to clear and that was in an old king keg with a float !

???
