The mild has fermented out nicely. I'm tempted to drink it straight from the fermenter!

Got my Pride redo done and dusted today.

Hopefully my cleaning/santizing regime was up to snuff this time. :bonk

Yeah, hope this one's a good'un. I know the pain of having to pour away a whole batch :(

Good news about the pride redo - really liked the look of the recipe.

Has the old one died a death in the 'pig' then?

I will let the bad batch be for a few weeks and then give it a taste. At best a beer for my personal consumption at worst it will become drain cleaner. :-({|=

You could always use it as a detox aid, sounds like it'll clean you out a treat :D

Kegged my Pride today. It could have been green beer and yeast but tasted a bit too buttery to me . . . diacetyl? Whatever it is hopefully it will drop out/lessen with time. Unfortunately, time is in short supply as I need this beer on the 27th (having the first batched infected put me behind timewise). Fullers can turn theres around quickly so hopefully mine will work out in the end too!

If not I still have a mild to serve, speaking of which maybe it is sampling time. :-k

Served the Pride and my mild at a party last weekend.
It went over well but not spectularly so.
I did have one guy send me an email later and ask where he could buy similar beer and another suggest that he come over and help finish off the left overs this weekend so at least a few were pleased.

It was a nice time.

I moved 3 pints of Pride for every one of mild but the Pride was on the beer engine (the mild made due on a BYO inspired hand pump).

I think the Pride needed another week or two of maturing (it is still getting better). Will check on that tonight!

Hmmm. Perhaps I'll be drinking some of that tonight, too.
