'just' supped the very last bottle of my Townes I did in December, and I'd agree, it is a superb recipe,
Yep it's a belter
I'm very keen on this 'un! I loved the 'feck' test!
What yeast did you all use for the Townes?
SO4 for me

Interestingly enough Simple Recipes (list of ingredients/ cooking times etc) are not copyrightable though preparation instructions and any original commentary on the recipe can be.

Any reason why the exact same Townes recipe with another aroma hop variety (Amarillo?) at a similar AA wouldn't achieve good results?

No, in fact it's a good way of finding out which hops you like by making sinlge varietal pale ales

Actually at those amounts it'd have to be EKG, as I only have around 100g of everything else anyway!
