First attempt, First Problem

Post by shr3k » Sun Apr 20, 2008 7:05 pm

Hi guys,

Well it was all going quite well, i poured my first pint today, been in the keg for 17 days. I know its a little premature but reading toher posts you can get a good idea on taste / flavour. Anyway tastes nice, looks cloudy should i leave it for a bit more? My main concern is, i pur a pint but 50-60% of it is head to start with, then i have to keep waiting for it to go down before adding more.

The colour is a light brown, taste is nice but a little sharp kick which i recon is the cloudyness. Its probably nearly there i think im just being too quick.

Any ideas?

Thanks Shr3k

By the way, the keg is in a cold cellar out side.

I'm sure it'll be fine - just needs time.

I made up one bottle which i poured in slowly and its gorgeous :)

Seams like its just needs time,

I poured a second pint and it was a little cloudy, poured a 3rd and its quite clear :)

Cheating i know but I think ill leave it a little but start enjoying it. Its a cheap kit so the IPA next :)

Kegging that tomorrow, been in the first for 10 days, settled at 1009 past 2 days.

Thanks for your help!
