using 'spheres' as bottling bucket - possible?

Hi guys -

I currently have my brew primary fermenting, and it should be ready for bottling at the weekend.

I'm currently reading up on this second part of the process - Crowncap's walk-through with pictures was a great help - but i have a couple of questions regarding the equipment i have.

I have one of these 'Spheres' with a floater inside - could this be used in lieu of a bottling bucket? I dont have a bottling bucket and may not be able to get my hands on one this weekend due to work. Its the only thing i have with a tap, you see.

from there, I was going to siphon some into the few bottles i have, then leave the rest in the fermenter - is this advised? will the stuff left behind be unworthy for drinking in a matter of days?

with the set up i have at home, I'm going to have to go full botted as opposed to keeping beer in the keg you see (only have room for keg in garage and won't be going out there every time i want a pint!)

cheers guys!
