caxton real ale plus geordie mild?

Post by eeyores61 » Mon May 05, 2008 8:35 pm

Been reading the Tom Caxton thread and the idea of using two cans, set me thinking.
Would the bitterness be manageable with One can Tom Caxton real ale added to one can Geordie mild? I thought maybe easy on the hop sachet (or maybe none at all?)

Any thoughts? Though if I have another pint of tc I might just do it anyway!

My experience, though certainly not vast, is that most kids are under bitter and under hopped regardless of style, I don't think using 2 cans of any kit would make a brew too bitter or too hoppy.

Ok, well I did this anyway - been going for 3 days at about 22C and smells dreadful! Hopefully this is just a 'brewing' whiff.

So, one can of tom caxton real ale and one can of geordie mild, og 1044 (I thought it might have been higher than that).

Any idea what final gravity might be?
