Knocked up this one yesterday based on RTD's recipe here.

4.45kg MO
180g Wheat Malt

Mashed for 1 3/4 hr at 65C and fly sparged.

64g Cascade (5.4%) - 90min
19g Cascade - 15min
Irish Moss 15min

Landed up with 21L @ 1044 according to the refractometer. 8)

US-05 pitched at 21C - first time with this yeast so we'll see how I fare...

Good work, this was one of my favourite brews. The smells from the FV were fantastic too :=P

I'm going to have a go at this one next, just ordered the Cascade.

Good luck with the yeast, I hear it's erm....enthusiastic!

You're telling me - just racking and priming and fining it into a barrel now for a nice quiet settle for 6 weeks or so to get the yeast to drop and the refractometer reads 5 brix (vs 11.8 brix starting). Not believeing that, I read it using a hydrometer too, and that reads 1004...!!

Ho hum, that 4.something pint just turned into something a bit stronger - 5.2, 5.3% ish :!:

Looking forward to this BBQ...
